Privacy Policy
Last updated 13 October 2026
ARGUS is organizational intelligence software operated by ARGUS Intelligence Systems, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("ARGUS", "we"). This policy covers the ARGUS website, the ARGUS dashboard and the ARGUS phone app for iPhone and Android. It explains what personal information we handle, why, where it is stored, and the control you keep over it.
1. Two different roles
We handle personal information in two distinct roles, and your rights differ between them.
- As a controller, for people who contact us through this website or by email. We decide what to do with that information.
- As a processor, for the operating data inside a client's ARGUS deployment: their mail, their meetings, their documents and the people they deal with. The client organization decides what enters the system and what happens to it. We act on their instructions, under the agreement we hold with them.
If your information sits inside a client's deployment and you want it corrected or removed, the client organization is the right first contact. Write to us and we will help them act, but we do not act alone on data we hold for someone else.
2. What we collect
From visitors to this website
The briefing request form collects the name, work email, organization, role and message you enter. Our web server keeps standard request logs, including IP address, timestamp, requested page and browser user agent, for security and troubleshooting. This site runs no advertising trackers and no third-party analytics.
From a client's connected accounts
When a client connects ARGUS to their own accounts, and only after they authorize it, the system may process:
| Source | What ARGUS receives | How it is authorized |
|---|---|---|
| Google Workspace and Gmail | Message content, headers, attachments and calendar events needed to build the client's operating picture, and the ability to send mail from the connected mailbox after the client approves each message. | Google OAuth. The client grants it from their own Google account and can withdraw it at any time. |
| Meeting platforms, including Read AI | Meeting transcripts, summaries, chapters, action items and participant lists, delivered to a signed endpoint when a meeting ends. | The client creates the connection in their own meeting account and can delete it there. |
| Messaging and documents the client connects | Message content and documents from the sources the client chooses to attach. | Configured per deployment, by the client. |
Meetings and correspondence involve other people. Information about those people, such as names, addresses, roles and what they said, is processed on behalf of the client organization that holds the relationship with them.
From the ARGUS phone app
The ARGUS app for iPhone and Android opens the ARGUS deployment of the organization you belong to. You cannot create an account in the app; accounts are created by your organization. The app handles:
- Sign-in. The email address or login and password you enter, passed to your organization's deployment to sign you in. To find your deployment, app.activateargus.ai asks each deployment on our servers whether it knows the address; the answer is never shown to anyone else. The app then keeps a sign-in cookie and a cookie naming your deployment.
- Push notifications, if you allow them. A push token issued by Google Firebase Cloud Messaging or Apple Push Notification service, with the device name, platform and app version, stored in your organization's deployment so it can send you alerts, such as an item waiting for your approval. The token is removed when you sign out of the app.
- Fingerprint or Face ID lock. Handled entirely by your phone's operating system. ARGUS never receives your fingerprint, face or any other biometric data, only a yes or no that the phone unlocked.
- Share to ARGUS. Only the text or link you choose to share into the app, which goes to your organization's deployment.
- Voice brief. Audio your deployment produced, played on the phone. The app does not record sound.
The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics and no tracking. It does not read your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera.
3. How Google user data is used
ARGUS's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically: Google user data is used only to provide and improve the features the client asked for. It is never sold. It is never used for advertising. It is never used to train generalized or foundation AI models, by us or by any provider we use. Humans do not read it, except where the client asks us to support a problem, where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to investigate abuse or a security incident.
Mail is sent from a connected mailbox only after a person at the client organization approves that specific message in the ARGUS dashboard.
4. Where data lives, and who else touches it
Each client deployment has its own database, its own credentials and its own web address, and one client's deployment cannot read another's. The one place where deployments meet is proactive introductions (section 10 of the Terms): ARGUS compares, within its own systems, what the businesses known in different deployments offer and need, and shows a client only a general description of a possible match (the kind of business, its country and field) until the businesses concerned have signed an introduction agreement. Everything is hosted on dedicated servers in Germany.
To produce summaries, analysis and drafts, content is sent to AI providers under commercial agreements that prohibit training on it. Depending on the deployment's configuration these may include OpenAI, Anthropic and xAI. We also use a transactional email provider to deliver system notifications, and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service to deliver short alerts to the ARGUS phone app. These providers act on our instructions and are bound to confidentiality and security obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
5. How long it is kept
Operating data inside a client deployment is kept for as long as that client wants it, because its value is exactly that it remembers. On request, or on the end of the agreement, the deployment and its database are deleted. Briefing requests sent through this website are kept while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards. Server logs are kept for a short operational window.
6. Security
- Every connection to ARGUS runs over HTTPS, and dashboards sit behind authentication.
- Credentials and access tokens are held per deployment, never shared between clients, and never transmitted by email or chat.
- Incoming meeting data is accepted only when its cryptographic signature matches the deployment's own key.
- Access to production systems is limited to the people who operate them.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify the affected parties and the relevant authority as the law requires.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access a copy of your personal information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how it is used, and to receive it in a portable form. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
To delete your ARGUS account and the information attached to it, ask your organization's ARGUS administrator, or write to privacy@activateargus.ai and we will act with your organization. Signing out of the phone app removes its push token at once; uninstalling the app removes everything it stored on the phone.
A client can disconnect ARGUS from their Google account at any time, under Google Account, Security, then Your connections to third-party apps and services. Doing so ends our access immediately.
8. Children
ARGUS is business software. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their information.
9. Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes affecting client deployments are communicated to the client organization directly.
10. Contact
